The holiday season is upon us and like many other organizations, we like to mark this time of year with a special event for everyone in the Shimmerman Penn and FTSP Professional Corporation offices. This year we spent a lovely afternoon in the midst of the Toronto Christmas Market in the Distillery District, where we had delicious food and drink — but most importantly, spent time together. As an Accounting and Business Advisory firm, we often work long hours and, especially as we gear up for the busy Tax season at the start of the year, it's nice to get together and enjoy the season and celebrate the successful year we've had.

We also marked the many happy occasions staff and partners have spent this year such as milestone birthdays and engagements. Our managing partner Maj-Lis Vettoretti specifically mentioned the three staff members who very recently passed their final exam in the CPA education process: Hersh, Evelyn and Steven. Congratulations!

As we gear up for 2018, we are continuing our focus on providing excellent client service and innovative advice to our valued clients. We also continue our focus on positive growth and hiring the best colleagues to work with us and with our clients.
