We are happy to announce these promotions and new joiners:
- Kristen Preszcator, CPA, CA joins us as Senior Manager. Kristen provides assurance, business advisory and tax services to owner-managed businesses and partnerships across a broad range of industries including manufacturing and development, architecture and design, real estate and retirement residences. She also provide assurance services for public companies and not-for-profit organizations.
- Andrew Bernstein, CPA, CA was promoted to Tax Manager. His primary areas of practise/expertise include: tax compliance matters for Individuals, Corporations, Trusts, and Partnerships; advising on tax and estate planning, and corporate structuring matters in an owner-managed and private corporation group setting; advising on international taxation issues, foreign affiliate issues, GST/HST matters, and cross border payroll withholding tax compliance issues; providing guidance for charities and not for profit organisations on specialty tax compliance issues; and voluntary disclosure & taxpayer relief submissions.
- Romy Waxman, CPA, CA was promoted to Manager, Assurance and Business Advisory. Romy provides assurance, business advisory and tax services to a broad range of clients focusing on the owner-managed mid-market sector. Clients include manufacturing and processing companies, design and engineering firms, real estate and investment holding companies and professional corporations. She also provides audit services for the OSC-regulated investment management companies and not-for-profit organizations.
- Nikolai Maronski, CPA, CA (Niko) joins us as Supervisor, Assurance and Business Advisory. Niko has broad industry experience and provides assurance services to Shimmerman Penn's clients. He also volunteers as a youth basketball coach in his free time.
- Monica Wang was also promoted recently, to Intermediate Accountant.
